David and Maria Cook have been improving houses together for 35 years. Long-time residents of Wicomico County and now Somerset County, they have worked on houses in both Maryland and Florida. They are a combination of do-it-yourselfers and perfectionists.  Maria, an art teacher for 26 years takes enormous pride in the visual aspects of room and house transformation.  She visualizes spaces, plans colors and layout, expertly prepares walls, primes, paints and stains, installs tile backsplashes, creates art & murals, transforms rooms by acquiring unique art, rugs and furnishings and even power washes (there is nothing more satisfying than taking dirty exterior spaces including driveways, fences, and pool decks and making them sparkle.). David is skilled at almost every home project you can imagine.  With Maria's help and attention to detail, together they have built hurricane resistant fences, built in-ground pools, created perfect board and batten walls, installed indoor/outdoor lighting, removed carpeting and replaced it with laminate flooring, replaced locks, door knobs, and sink fixtures, replaced baseboards, trim, doors, screen doors, windows, and siding. They have built decks, remodeled bathrooms and kitchens and even poured concrete pad additions.  They have done all types of repairs including roofing repairs. Working with professional partners including plumbers and electricians, they've transformed home after home.  Every project Maria and David works on is a project of love.
